Product Details for: Ukiah Cellars Chardonnay 2008

This Chardonnay is tropical on the nose, with hints of mango, passion fruit and pineapple. In the mouth, flavors of green apple and pear caress the tongue along with a crisp, natural acidity. On the finish, the wine is creamy, complex and smooth. These characteristics are due to the 100% cold-fermentation in stainless steel tanks with sur-lie aging.

Ukiah Cellars wines are sustainably farmed at Beckstoffer and McDowell Vineyards in the upper Russian River watershed. Well-drained marine sediments and alluvial gravels at these two sites are ideal for growing Chardonnay.
