John Gibson & his grapes |
Deptford, NJ - 12/7 - Wine maker John Gibson of Salexis Wines invites you on Sunday, December 12, from 12pm-3pm to taste his offerings of 2004 & 2005.
An independent fire-brand in the industry, Gibson has been making wine for over thirty years at wineries such as Stag's Leap, Vine Cliff Winery, Snowden Vineyards and many other well-known wineries. In 1998, he and his wife Ann moved true to their motto of "Good food, Good friends and family," and founded their own winery. Their joint project started with the production of Merlot and Chardonnay, later moving into Cabernet Sauvignon. Their strong family values prompted the winery's name, Salexis, which reflects the name of Ann & John's only daughter, Sarah Alexis.
Building his excellent reputation in small batches, Gibson maintains superior quality by sticking to small production. His best wines were produced in batches of 600 cases or less due to his belief in family involvement in the business. Producing his last Merlot in 2004, about 240 cases, the production of excellent Cabernet Sauvignon's began. According to Gibson "you cannot be a Napa Valley wine maker and do without the production of Cabernet Sauvignon."
All of the offerings are of superior quality, SO COME ENJOY THE SUPERB PRODUCTS OF SALEXIS WINES WITH GOOD FOOD, GOOD FRIENDS AND YOUR BOBKAT FAMILY.
